The month of May shines a spotlight on mental health awareness, and this year's Mental Health Awareness Week, championed by the mental health charity Mind, celebrates the power and importance of community in mental health.

We recently spoke with our Compliance Officer and Mental Health First Aider, Charlotte King, about the proactive approach to mental health within the security industry, where the work can often be demanding and potentially stressful.

Charlotte, who had recently been managing the challenges of a major external company audit, straight away highlighted the huge importance of understanding our own mental health, identifying any red flags and the real need for a transparent approach to mental health." It's vital that we can be honest about mental health challenges. This can lead to a more positive and supportive environment for everyone, encouraging others to seek help, and fostering a culture where mental health is talked about openly and seen as an integral part of overall health."
